Re-synchronising Citroen remotes. If your Citroen remote key has stopped working, it is sometimes possible for you to re-synchronise it without this requiring full reprogramming. This may be necessary if you have replaced the battery in the remote, or the buttons have been pressed a number of times when at too great a distance from the vehicle.
These are NOT simple power feeds from the pedal switch to the brake light. What you might have done when you swapped the wires is to feed the brake light from the ground and 12v lines by pure chance, but that won't solve the problem. Could be that the ECU is having a wobbly for some reason. admiral51. Donor 2023.
A standard/simple stop solenoid has just one terminal, as you say, with the metal body being used to provide the ground feed. The solenoid on the Berlingo has an immobiliser module built into it, and does not ground out through the body - instead, it takes its feed from the security module, which is powered from the wiring harness.
My Berlingo 2005 would not start from time to time and now it does not start at all. (starter turns, but does not take) My garage told me it was the key and behold, the spare key worked. After a day, the spare key also failed to start the car. I now deduct it was not the key but sheer luck the car started with the spare key.
8. AC compressor overheating. If the compressor in your Berlingo has developed a defect or if there is not enough refrigerant in the AC system, the compressor will overheat and could cause burning smell. Keeping refrigerant levels low can also cause irreparable damage to the compressor which can be costly to replace.
