Primacy 4 replacing [mixing] Pilot Sport 4. Hi all. Picked up Tesla on 2 March 2021. Got a M3 long range. Somehow got a puncture on the first week. Took to Halfords who said it can't be repaired needs to be replaced. They ordered in a new tyre. We noticed they replaced a pilot sport 4 with a primacy 4 tyre, due to a shortage of pilot stocks.
I’m needing to replace existing original 20” Michelin Primacy tires on my 2019 A6. I find it odd that the Audi dealer (and Audi website) currently lists the Primacy MXM4 as the recommended All Season Michelin tire. But, the Costco, Discount Tire and even Michelin sites don’t list it for this vehicle, they list the Pilot Sport All Season 4.
The only other all-season tire examined in this post besides the All Season 4 is the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3 Plus.Michelin’s goal with this tire was to pack as many of the handling, braking and performance features of other Pilot Sport tires into a more comfortable, fuel efficient tire with a longer wear life (up to 45,000 miles).
The Pilot SPORT 4 is the sportier of the two tyres, which means there is slightly reduced comfort when compared to the primacy 4. 2022-09-21 - Please advise air pressure for Michelin Primacy 4+ 225/45R17. Driving a Lexus IS200t.
